Chase Carey has said that F1’s top teams have been in negotiations to partake in this year’s series of the Netflix documentary Drive to Survive.
The first series, based on the 2018 season, was released a few months back, and it was a success with fans, who enjoyed the behind the scenes action the show brought.
One thing that was missing however, was the involvement of F1’s two top teams, Mercedes and Ferrari, who declined to be involved in the filming of the show.
However, Carey has revealed that they are in discussions to allow the cameras in.
Carey told La Presse: “Fans want to be in the car, in the garages, behind the screens of the engineers. And not only during the Grands Prix.

"We collaborated with Netflix last season, and it was a great marketing venture even though not all teams participated.
"They (Mercedes and Ferrari) saw the success of the series and we had good discussions with them about the possibility of participating in other similar projects, if we produce another season.”
