McLaren has seen its revenue take an upturn of 9.2% in 2019 in the first six months of the year compared to a fall of 36.9% for the same period last year.
McLaren's F1 team is just 10.9% of the entire McLaren family, which includes McLaren Automotive and McLaren Applied Technologies.
The main reason for this increase in revenue is McLaren's automotive side, with the new McLaren Senna selling particularly well. According to the Daily Mail, McLaren Automotive's revenue was up 36.4% to nearly £700m.
The company sold 4,289 cars in 2018, and are targeting 6,000 for 2025. The main drive behind McLaren's F1 revenue increase is their sponsorship with British American Tobacco, and the improved performance on track with the team finishing sixth in the standings last season, compared with ninth the year before.
