Max Verstappen shares winter break details ahead of long F1 season

Max Verstappen revealed at the Red Bull launch what he did during the winter break on his trip in Brazil.

After the long Formula 1 season, Verstappen, together with girlfriend Kelly Piquet, Penelope, and Lily, travelled to Brazil to switch off. During the trip, Piquet has shared pictures of the Dutchman spending time with his daughter at the beach, and also playing some volleyball on social media.

At the Red Bull launch event in Detroit, where GPblog was present, the four-time world champion was also asked what he did during the winter break.

He said: "Besides just relaxing, yeah, just spending time with family. I mean, my family (through Kelly Piquet, ed.) is from Brazil, you try to catch up, spend some holidays together whenever you can.

"And that's what we did. We tried to also explore new places. And yeah, that's going well."

Verstappen's daughter Lily shows early interest in racing

The Red Bull Racing driver shared in Team Redline's live stream that Lily is interested in his sim racing equipment while she was sitting on his lap as his father was doing laps.

Verstappen said: “She keeps trying to grab the microphone. She’s very interested in all the screens, the controller, the mouse — everything. She’s trying to touch it all. Starting early!”
