The 2024 Formula 1 season was not easy for Red Bull Racing, but luckily for them, they had Max Verstappen. According to Christian Horner, the Dutch driver always knew what to do and was never at a loss for words.

Horner praises Verstappen's work ethic

Things changed for the Austrian team when Red Bull ran into issues, and the simulations no longer matched the actual driving. As their rival teams were taking leaps forward, Red Bull seemed to be stuck, but that didn't affect Verstappen. Horner said, "That's when the driver really becomes a key element".
The team principal continued, "Max never panicked. Even on the tough days, he spent the long hours with the engineers really rolling his sleeves up and getting stuck in. Working behind the scenes on the simulator, spending the time with vehicle dynamicists and aerodynamicists just talking through ‘OK, this is where you need to focus, this is where the key issue is with this one’, based on what he's feeling".
Despite all the hardships Red Bull Racing faced, Verstappen still took home his fourth consecutive world championship in the 2024 season. Thanks to his incredible drive and the team's hard work, the driver was crowned at the Las Vegas GP.
