Max Verstappen is ready to come back on track after the summer break, but the next race is not a normal one for him. The Orange crowd will push him to the max for the whole weekend. For
F1 it's time to come back on track and start again to race, with 10 races and 3 sprints to go. The first one of the list is in Zandvoort, which is obviuosly a special place for the home hero Max Verstappen.
"A special race for me"
In the Red Bull press release he spoke about his battery recharge during the summer break: "It has been a good summer break, relaxing and spending time with family and friends. It was good to recharge and reset and we head straight to Zandvoort for the first race back."
He also announced that he will bring special merchandising: "As my home race it is always a special race for me; the atmosphere is amazing and we always have such great support. Driving past a sea of orange when you are racing is an incredible feeling and I am looking forward to being back. To mark this, I will be wearing my Orange Lion helmet, special cap and boots."
At the end he gave a more technical preview on the circuit and also mentioned the weather forecast for the weekend: "Zandvoort is an old school circuit with quite a unique layout and a lot of fast corners. It will be a tough race and it looks like the weather might make things tricky but let’s see what happens."
Max sits actually on third position with 187 points in the driver championship and 97 behind Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. Meanwhile behind him there are George Russell and Charles Leclerc. The Red Bull is actually on fourth position with 194 points.
