Cadillac recently revealed to the
F1 world that Bottas and Pérez will return to the paddock next year as their full-time drivers. With this decision, Cadillac also achieved its
first podium in F1 — without completing a single lap on track. As previously reported,
Cadillac had the chance to choose one of the most talented drivers in F2, Alexander Dunne, but ultimately decided to go with Perez and Bottas. This choice was praised by former
F1 driver and 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Martin Brundle.
The former Benetton driver also offered further advice to
Cadillac’s new pairing:
"They’ll probably have to park their early frustrations as the team gets up and running, especially with such a dramatic regulation reset."
