Mattia Binotto admits Ferrari "still have work to do" after poor British GP

Ferrari had a mixed Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone. Charles Leclerc continued his impressive run of finishing on the podium but Sebastian Vettel had an awful day, finishing 16th after a crash with Max Verstappen. The teams boss Mattia Binotto admitted that it was not a good weekend for Ferrari.

“It was definitely a difficult race when compared to qualifying,” Binotto said in his post race summary. “Once again, tyre wear compromised our pace, limiting our performance.

Leclerc has really impressed during this first season at Ferrari and looks certain to get a race win before too long.

"Charles drove a strong race and showed once again how good he is in a wheel to wheel situation,” said Binotto. “It was a shame that Seb’s good showing in the race was spoilt by a mistake when fighting Verstappen.

Things haven't been going too well for Ferrari this season but they will hope to improve in time for the German Grand Prix.
