Former Ferrari and Williams driver
Felipe Massa has confirmed that he'll be active in the
Formula E later this season, as the Brazilian put out a statement on his social media to bring the news.
In a short but sweet statement, Massa declared that he'll be driving for the Venturi team in the 2018/2019 season in the Formula E.
“For some years now, I’ve been clear about my interest in this innovative, forward-looking discipline that’s developing exponentially,” the 11-time Grand Prix wrote.
“I especially like the format of race meetings, the city-centre circuits and the contact with the fans.
"I can’t wait to take part in testing at the end of the month.”
This seems to be a trend, as 2016 world champion Nico Rosberg has also said to be interested in participating in the Formula E in the near future. Massa, who retired from the F1 at the end of 2017, will no doubt help the sport's meteoric rise in popularity, as the Brazilian is loved across the world and especially in his home country.
