Marko reveals huge tension at Red Bull: 'Some fainted'

It was nerve-racking for all the viewers of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix until the last lap, but for some Red Bull Racing mechanics it was really too much. According to Helmut Marko some of them fainted.

A championship that is decided in the final lap of the last race of the season has not happened very often. Especially in a direct battle between the two title rivals. While Red Bull and Max Verstappen didn't look like they were going to win the whole race, they managed to do so in the final lap.

The tension in the final lap was therefore very high, with Verstappen right behind his rival. In the end, the Dutchman won the race, but some of the mechanics were having a hard time according to Marko, who reveals to Austria's ServusTV that several mechanics fainted after the race.

The tension was huge among all team members, including Marko himself, who was not partying until the wee hours like Verstappen. ''The tension had an effect on me as well. That's why I went home very early on Sunday night after the race and didn't party for very long.''
