Marko lyrical about Lindblad but he still lacks one thing from 'the new Verstappen'

During the Inside Track podcast, Marko spoke about Red Bull's talents such as Verstappen and Hadjar. "Then there's Lindblad, who is 17 years old. His father is Swedish, his mother is Indian. And when we signed him, he was also the one making all the decisions, asking the right questions. And at that time, I think, he was about 12. So there's plenty of talent in the pipeline," said the Austrian.

Despite his great potential the results are sometimes still not always visible, as Marko knows too. "He is impressive, but the results are not yet there to enjoy. He was unlucky twice when he was heading for pole position and there was a problem with the car. The last time he missed it by eight tenths of a second, otherwise he would have made it. But it's his mental strength, his dedication, and his very professional approach that stand out."

The FIA has clarified a special situation, as Lindblad is not yet eighteen. The governing body has made an exception for Lindblad, and so now he can drive in Formula 1. Such an exception was also made for Verstappen in his time.
