Alongside Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar, there are of course still plenty of talents within the Red Bull team. Arvid Lindblad, sometimes referred to as 'the new Verstappen', is one of those names. He is only 17 years old, but already possesses a significant amount of race craft. According to Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko, he has an incredible mental strength, and the results will naturally follow.
During the Inside Track podcast, Marko spoke about Red Bull's talents such as Verstappen and Hadjar. "Then there's Lindblad, who is 17 years old. His father is Swedish, his mother is Indian. And when we signed him, he was also the one making all the decisions, asking the right questions. And at that time, I think, he was about 12. So there's plenty of talent in the pipeline," said the Austrian.

Marko still lacks one thing in Lindblad

Despite his great potential the results are sometimes still not always visible, as Marko knows too. "He is impressive, but the results are not yet there to enjoy. He was unlucky twice when he was heading for pole position and there was a problem with the car. The last time he missed it by eight tenths of a second, otherwise he would have made it. But it's his mental strength, his dedication, and his very professional approach that stand out."
A few days ago, news broke that Lindblad may participate in Formula 1, should he be invited. A superlicence is required to participate in the premier class of motorsport. The FIA has clarified a special situation, as Lindblad is not yet eighteen. The governing body has made an exception for Lindblad, and so now he can drive in Formula 1. Such an exception was also made for Verstappen in his time.
