When you're talking about the son of a seven-time F1 World Champion who has just been crowned with the 2018 European F3 title, you can easily get carried away. Helmut Marko, Red Bull advisor is not one of those people. He says Schumacher Jr can't be compared with Max Verstappen.
Today, Schumacher Jr admitted he has the ability to drive in F1 and it's his dream, but the German has patience.
"I could drive in Formula 1, that is now clear. But it's not very realistic - even though it is my dream. I want to arrive there as a complete driver," the 19-year-old told Sat1.
"To prepare yourself 100% for the highest class, you first have to go through the entry classes," Schumacher explains.
Marko agrees with him. Verstappen was accelerated from F3 into Toro Rosso. Soon after his debut, he climbed across into a Red Bull. Marko claims the two can't be compared.

"It's too early," Marko told Motorsport. You can not make that comparison [between Verstappen and Schumacher Jr]."
