Marko confident in Mercedes: 'I can't imagine'

Helmut Marko watched Lewis Hamilton take an easy win in Qatar on Sunday afternoon. With two races to go Red Bull Racing will have to work hard to secure the world title or the Briton will walk away with it.

The fight in Qatar did not only take place on the track, both teams also fought off the track. According to the Austrian racing team, the competitor was cheating with the rear wing, but Marko saw that Mercedes was already acting differently in Qatar.

"Mercedes have been driving slower over the course of the practice sessions here and that's because they've used a rear wing that is no longer bendable because their top speed was in the normal range," he told Speedweek.com. "I assume they won't use it anymore either, because the FIA has the necessary tools to control it. I can't imagine them taking that risk."

In two weeks time, Max Verstappen will face a very important challenge, as Marko also knows. "We have to win in Saudi Arabia. Then it will be about the decision in the last race. After not meeting our expectations here and in Brazil, we have to do better in Jeddah."
