Kevin Magnussen finished the 2018 French Grand Prix in sixth and called his car the ‘best of the rest’ yesterday. The 8 points lifted his 2018 tally up to 27 whilst team-mate Romain Grosjean remains pointless this season.
Magnussen managed to avoid getting tangled and caught in the first lap drama ahead of him. He was pleased to have got the result which was his third top six finish of the season.
"It was a good race, and we had a good car, we got everything right," the Dane said in an interview on f1i.com.
"It was a good race for us, and very happy to come back from the disappointment of yesterday. We knew we were still standing in a position of where we could probably do something good in the race, and it was our day today.”
Haas have now closed in on Force India as they are just one point short of their total. McLaren have also been reigned in by the US team.
