More trouble for Lawson: Red Bull last again in qualifying

Liam Lawson is on an unfortunate streak. For the third time in a row, the driver from New Zealand failed to make it out of the first session of qualifying.

While Max Verstappen qualifying for Q2 relatively easily at the Shanghai International Circuit, Liam Lawson had no such luck. On back-to-back days, he finished last in the session. On his out lap, he also got jumped by Pierre Gasly in the queue.

All of that comes after making contact with Jack Doohan during the Sprint as well. This moment in time, Lawson qualifying results is stands as followed: P18 in Australia, P20 in Sprint Qualifying, and P20 today.

Together with the Red Bull driver, Pierre Gasly, Oliver Bearman, Jack Doohan and Gabriel Bortoleto were eliminated.
