Mercedes are coming to the Belgian Grand Prix with a new engine but Lewis Hamilton has revealed that there is not much of a power increase but instead, the engine is more reliable and efficient.
Hamilton said that it's "more or less the same as the previous power source, so it doesn't really have many major improvements."
"We have always been at the forefront of engine-side technology," he said to RaceFans. "There have been years in which we only managed to advance further, but if you are a constant leader it is not always easy to stay ahead. I think it has been a bit of a difficult year in terms of development.
"I think the next engine is a small step forward, probably not even half a tenth. But I also think that reliability is constantly improving. Efficiency is what we really focus on and that is the key to success."
Mercedes will hope that their new engine is as successful as previous ones and that Mercedes can continue to dominate in the second half of the season.
