Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen also seem to be the biggest contenders for the world title next season. However, the Monegasque believes we cannot rule out Lewis Hamilton. Indeed, according to Leclerc, the seven-time world champion still has everything in him to finish at the top of the rankings.
Whereas Hamilton competed for the world title for years from 2014, he had to shelve his ambitions early last season due to disappointing results. Mercedes only managed to fully fix problems with the car in the closing stages of the season, leaving Hamilton no further than sixth final position in the drivers' championship.

Leclerc keeps an eye on Hamilton

However, according to Leclerc, it does not mean that the same will happen next season. Besides Verstappen, he says he is seriously considering Hamilton's qualities and considers him capable of competing for wins again.
"Lewis will never be out of the question for championship fight," Leclerc stated in an interview with Sky Sports. "I'm pretty sure if he has the car he will be there. We must not forget what he's achieved in the sport and he still has it, we saw that many times last year. Lewis will be there, like Red Bull will be too and I hope it's going to be a great fight."
