Lammers wants a 'second Verstappen': 'He doesn't care about the bullshit'

Max Verstappen has actually been alone at Red Bull Racing for a year and a half. The Netherlands saw Daniel Ricciardo leave at the end of 2018 and has not had a child to teammates Pierre Gasly and Alexander Albon since then. According to Jan Lammers, besides Max you need someone who looks a lot like the Dutchman.

''Who you need next to Max is someone like Max. Someone who just gets the best out of themselves and doesn't care about all the bullshit. Just being busy with what you need to be busy with. Your environment will notice that you are focused. You need someone who is just as open-minded as Max. We suddenly hear that his relationship with his girlfriend is over, but did we notice anything on the track?'', says Lammers at F1 aan Tafel.

The former Formula 1 driver is therefore in favour of Hulkenberg's arrival. ''The one who would fit that profile best, yes, that could be Nico. He's stable in his shoes, he's someone who can perform and he's also up to all the nonsense around it'', concludes the sports director of the Zandvoort circuit.
