Squabble between Verstappen and Lambiase: 'I'll see you Friday'

Gianpiero Lambiase and Max Verstappen seemed somewhat irritated after the United States Grand Prix, but there is no question of a race engineer leaving anytime soon.

Max Verstappen managed to take his 50th F1 victory and also his 15th win this season. No problem you would think, but nothing could be further from the truth at the end of the race. Verstappen had been having problems with his brakes throughout the race and had several conversations with his engineer about it.

Lambiase, however, in Verstappen's eyes, chose the wrong time to give information. Verstappen struggled in the braking zones and did not want to hear anything over the team radio there. More than once GP commented in the braking zones, to which Verstappen ranted vigorously.

After the race, the discussion between the two was somewhat cool. Lambiase said, 'Enjoy the celebrations, I'll see you on Friday'. A remarkable remark, but nothing appeared to be the matter. Lambiase simply had to catch his plane, and so was already on the move straight after the race. This does not apply to Verstappen.
