Now that the Formula 1 debut of Mick Schumacher is certain, the comparisons between the young driver and his legendary father can really begin. Ted Kravitz is already making a start; and sees similarity in the first teams of father and son.
Ted Kravitz explains at Sky Sports that both Schumachers will make their Formula 1 debut with one of the smaller teams on the grid. Mick will occupy a seat at Haas, and Michael drove his first race at Jordan in 1991. After one race with the team, Michael Schumacher and signed with Benetton, where he would stay until 1993.
“Mick is echoing what his dad did, except he is doing it without the backup op his dad, and he would love to do that. Michael was always so proud of his kids, of Mick”, Kravitz argues.

Give him time

Next, Kravitz urges the Formula 1 audience not to be too hard on the young German to perform immediately upon his entry, as he generally seems to take more time than his father. “Mick is taking a couple years in all the seasons that he's done in order to win the championships. so we need to give him a bit of time in Formula 1.”
