Aston Martin have responded to Fernando Alonso's controversial podium finish in last weekend's Australian Grand Prix. Team boss Mike Krack called the third consecutive podium finish fully deserved.
In the aftermath of that situation, some people claimed that the two-time World Champion's podium finish was undeserved due to the nature of the finish, but this opinion is not shared at all internally.

Krack confident

In an interview with Motorsport Krack explained that at Aston Martin, they had no fear sweating at the final red flag. "Because of the similar situation we had at Silverstone last year, we checked everything and were pretty sure the race would resume that way, but you never really know until it happens," said the Luxembourger.
"It wasn't an undeserved podium because it was the position we were in before everything happened, so I think that's fine, but of course there was an element of luck involved," he added.
