Kevin Magnussen starts the Dutch GP from pit lane - Here's why

Kevin Magnussen qualified 15th for the Dutch Grand Prix, but the Dane will have to start the race from the pit lane. His team, Haas, has decided to replace a number of parts overnight.

An FIA document reveals that the Dane's number 20 car has been fitted with a new Energy Store and Control Electronics. Such parts may not be replaced after qualifying and if you do, there are consequences in the form of a grid penalty, as is the case now.

The starting grid for the Dutch Grand Prix has already been pretty shaken up since the end of qualifying. Earlier, Alexander Albon was disqualified for an illegal floor and Hamilton received a three-place grid penalty after the race organisers ruled that he got in Perez's way during qualifying.

At the front of the grid, however, nothing changes. Lando Norris starts from pole, with Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri right behind. George Russell and Sergio Perez also secured top-five starting places.
