Kelly Piquet supports Verstappen publicly: 'They can't do that!'

Max Verstappen was once again involved in a controversial battle with Lando Norris, this time at the Mexican Grand Prix. The Dutchman's girlfriend, Kelly Piquet reacted to the Dutchman's Instagram post following the event, supporting his partner.

'A bad day lacking race pace. I know we can do much better, so let's keep pushing. Onwards to Brazil!', Verstappen wrote on Instagram. Last Sunday, Verstappen received two ten-second time penalties after his battle with Lando Norris. Following the battle, the Dutchman was not only defended by some, but he was also heavily criticised by other.

Kelly Piquet however publically voiced her support for her partner below the aforementioned Instagram post. 'They can try to stop you, but they won't succeed,' the she writes.

Next weekend, the F1 grid will travel to Interlagos for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix. Verstappen currently leads in the standings by 47 points ahead of Lando Norris.
