Analyst Karun Chandhok does not see Red Bull Racing's driver duo of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez as the best pair in Formula 1. The former driver explains in a Sky Sports podcast why, in his opinion, the numbers one and two in the drivers' championship are not the best duo on the grid.
Max Verstappen leads the world championship with a 125-point lead over teammate Sergio Perez. Despite these impressive figures, Chandhok sees another duo performing best. Indeed, in the Indian's eyes, Lewis Hamilton and George Hamilton [Mercedes] are the best driver duo in the current Formula 1 field.

Chandhok finds Mercedes duo best

"I think, on the whole, Mercedes as a team will be pretty disappointed," Chandhok began. "That’s despite the fact that I believe they have the best collective driver line-up in Formula 1. They’ve improved, but it’s not enough. There have been flashes of brilliance, with Lewis' qualifying in Budapest probably being the standout," said the Sky Sports analyst. Lewis Hamilton currently holds fourth place in the championship, and George Russell is sixth with as many points as Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc.
