2009 Formula 1 champion Jenson Button will join Sky Sport F1's punditry team next season, the company has announced, with the Brit having done punditry during the 2018 British Grand Prix already.
Button's last full season in Formula 1 was in 2016 at McLaren, when he shared the garage with Fernando Alonso. Stoffel Vandoorne came in to replace Button, with the Brit adopting the role of reserve driver. He got to drive one more Grand Prix in 2017 in Monaco, as Alonso was away doing the Indy 500. Button has won a total of 15 Grands Prix and has stood on the podium 50 times.
At 38 years old, the former F1 champion is still very active in motorsport. He competes in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, while also winning the Super GT Championship earlier this month.
