Charles Leclerc was excellent at the start of the season, but just before the summer break, he finds himself 63 points behind Max Verstappen in the world championship. Martin Brundle cannot understand the situation, he told Sky Sports.
The Italian team has shown at almost every Grand Prix that it has a car capable of competing with Red Bull Racing, but it still misses many opportunities. Last week in France, Leclerc was personally to blame for driving his car into a tyre pile.

Brundle puts pressure on Ferrari

According to Brundle, Ferrari are making it very difficult for themselves as they need to be able to fight for the world title this season. The former Formula One driver even thinks it could have been ahead of the Austrians without the mistakes made.
"No doubt about it, they have great speed," Brundle stressed to the medium. "Of course they should be ahead in the championship. When you look at reliability, drivers throwing it off the road, strategy calls. They've had the pace to take the fight to Red Bull and should be ahead now."
