Lando Norris' Canadian Grand Prix ended in disappointment. As a result, the Briton also lost out on key points in terms of the drivers' championship. Here is how the Briton reacted to the outcome in that regard.
On Lap 67, as Lando Norris was attacking his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri on the start-finish straight, he ran into the back of the Australian's car, and crashed into the barrier. He immediately apologised for the incident.
According to Guenther Steiner, the Briton should have waited for the next opportunity instead of forcing the maneouvre to happen where even 'it would have been hard to fit a motorbike.'

As a result, not only he failed to gain on Piastri in the drivers' world championship, with the Australian finishing the Canadian Grand Prix in fourth position behind the two Mercedes drivers and Max Verstappen, he now leads in the standings by 22 points.
"Yes, but there's plenty more races left," the Woking-based driver reacted about the gap that increased at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
"I don't expect it to be easy, I don't expect him to catch easy but I have to work hard for it and make less mistakes than I did this weekend," he concluded after the tenth weekend of the season was completed in North America.
