Horner points to new design: "That has caused some balance problems"

Red Bull Racing didn't arrive at the British Grand Prix with great expectations, but a second behind Mercedes is frustrating for Christian Horner. How can this tide be turned?
"From the first race, it is already clear that Mercedes has a big gap to the competition. Of course, we try to close that gap, but every time they adapt to the car behind them. They still have a lot of speed, as you could see in Hungary," says Horner opposite Motorsport.com.

No victory for Verstappen

For the race, Horner has no illusion that Max Verstappen can compete for victory. "Lewis Hamilton is the favourite here. Mercedes is very strong here, but hopefully, we can put a little pressure on them on Sunday," said Horner, who is very happy with the updates that were brought to Silverstone.
"We've collected data in Hungary and in response we've taken these updates with us. The factory is working hard to get all this done. We've changed the front of the car prior to this season and that brings with it some balance issues. With the new parts we're trying to improve that step by step," Red Bull Racing's team boss concludes.
