Red Bull had the strongest chassis of any car in 2018 with their RB14, according to the team principal Christian Horner.
Red Bull Racing were victorious four times in 2018; with Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo achieving two wins each for the energy drink brand.
However, despite the four victories, it was a year marred by reliability woes; eventually resulting in Red Bull and Renault splitting, with the former deciding to go with Honda for the 2019 season.
Ferrari and Mercedes were on another level to Horner's team, but when it came down to chassis over power on some tracks; Horner believes his team were in a class of its own.
"It's clear we have had a fantastic car this year," Horner expalined to PlanetF1. "The RB14 has been the strongest chassis in F1 this year. When you consider the power deficiency, we have had this year, what we have achieved - four victories - is very impressive.

"We had a strong car at the beginning of the year, we just weren't able to capitalise. Reliability has been our Achilles' heel this year. We had too many engine failures and we had a few issues on our own which have been frustrating. We were able to optimise the car through the season.
"We were using the tyres very efficiently compared to our competitors. It's a combination of factors."
