Horner is curious: "Looks like we’re going to see two races"

Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc will both start from the back of the grid at the Belgian Grand Prix due to engine changes. Christian Horner expects the challenge to be great as a result, he said in conversation with The Race.

In the first race weekend after the summer break, Ferrari and Red Bull Racing decided to make an immediate engine change. For both drivers, this means they automatically face a penalty and will have to start from the back of the grid.

Although it is relatively easy to overtake on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, Verstappen and Leclerc will have plenty of drivers ahead of them on Sunday. However, they will be keen to score plenty of points for the world championship.

"Looks like we’re going to see two races," the Red Bull team boss judges. "It’s going to be fascinating. Checo won’t be taking any penalties, we assume that Sainz and the Mercs won’t be. So we should be seeing those four guys at the front and the other two coming through the pack and seeing how far they can get."
