In conversation with Viaplay, Christain Horner explained how he felt about the performances of his drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez on Dutch soil on Friday. Hope hero Verstappen has won the last three races consecutively at Zandvoort, but today settled for P2 (FP1) and P5 (FP2) on Friday. Horner was first asked about the summer break, and how he spent it.
"I had a super break," Red Bull's team boss began. "It was good to spend some time with the family and, yeah, really, I think the whole team had earned that two-week break. Ten races in fairly rapid-fire, apart from another bit of a break in October. So we've got, what, four races in five weeks coming up? So great to be back in Zandvoort."

Horner: 'expecting a very close race'

FP2 wasn't exactly an amazing session for Red Bull, and the Brit understands where his team need to improve for the rest of the weekend. "We know we've got some areas of the car that we need to work on with the setup for FP3 and qualy. What's the weather going to do? That's another factor. But it's going to be close. We can see from what we've seen so far, it's going to be very close." Horner explained. McLaren's Lando Norris and Mercedes' George Russell topped FP1 and FP2 respectively.
"Max has obviously got an extra tenth from the crowd here this weekend," Horner concluded. Will that make the difference heading into qualifying tomorrow?
