Horner compares himself to football legend: 'He didn't do that either'

Christian Horner is sometimes harshly criticised in the UK for his actions on behalf of Red Bull Racing, but the Briton doesn't care and compares himself to a football legend.
Since Red Bull's entry into Formula 1, it has been an oddity. At first, the team was looked down upon not as a car supplier, but more for the whole marketing campaign of a can of energy drink. This different way of working also often causes a lot of criticism on Horner.

The Red Bull way

The Briton does interviews during a race, had a heated battle with Toto Wolff last year and seems to enjoy this kind of attention. He does not care about the criticism though. ''If it bothers you, you shouldn't do the job. My job is to do the best I can for the team and the people I represent,'' says the Red Bull team boss at Sky Sports.
Horner goes to great lengths to achieve this, and says he uses every means at his disposal to give his team an advantage. However, according to him that is not a problem at all. ''If I look at somebody like a Sir Alex Ferguson, I doubt he ever worried about what perception other managers or people thought about him in the sport,'' Horner concludes.
