Heavy rain expected in Budapest this afternoon

The weather is one of the most discussed topics in Hungary. On Saturday, heavy rain is expected with possibly even thunderstorms.

The chance of rain on Saturday is according to Weather.com 87 percent in Budapest, where the Hungaroring is not far away. From half past one in the afternoon will the storm break loose, so the third free practice will probably start at the normal time of 13:00 local time.

Qualifying is scheduled to start at 16:00 local time. This is after the most heavy rainfall, but it is not dry yet at that time. Rain showers are still predicted around that time and only later in the evening will it be dry.

On Sunday, the forecast has changed slightly, but this could have a major effect on the race. From 12:00 to 17:00 local time light rain showers are expected with a fairly strong wind. Temperatures will be between 21 and 25 degrees Celsius.
