Lewis Hamilton started his Formula 1 career at McLaren before switching to Mercedes and then Ferrari. While at the team, he helped develop the MP4-12C supercar. Now, you have the chance to buy the Briton's very own car, as it is for sale.

Hamilton's car for sale

The supercar Hamilton once helped develop is now being sold. Broad Arrow, an auction house, is selling it at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este auction, which will take place next month in Italy on 24-25 May.
Hamilton was gifted one of the first cars from the project as his feedback was considered and used during the building process. He received a red MP4-12C after his request for a smaller steering wheel and paddle shifter adjustments was incorporated into tthe car's design.
However, Hamilton's old teammate, Jenson Button, will also have an old car being sold. The same as Hamilton, except in white, another MP4-12C is also being sold at the auction. The second MP4-12C was owned by Hamilton's old teammate, Jenson Button.
The car that once belonged to Hamilton is estimated to be worth around £190,000. Button's old car is estimated to be a little lower, at around £125,000.
