Lewis Hamilton shared an unexpected story with Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc ahead of the birth of Lily at the F1 75 event

Season 8 of Drive to Survive opens with an episode titled ‘New Kids on the Track,’ set during the F1 75 event in February.

Behind the scenes, Hamilton asked his former title rival about becoming a father for the first time. "You've got a kid coming! Are you excited? Nervous?

"You have to be at the end. You have to watch it come out."

Verstappen replied, laughing alongside Hamilton and Leclerc: "I mean, I'm not sure, maybe from that side."

The Monegasque driver added: "I think I would do the same."

Hamilton shares anecdote

The seven-time world champion continued: "I was dating a girl and her sister was having a kid, and I was here outside the operating room, so I could hear them screaming. I nearly passed out and it wasn't even my kid!"

In the end, Verstappen skipped just one media day after Lily was born ahead of the Miami Grand Prix.
