Lewis Hamilton failed to reach Q3 at the Dutch Grand Prix. The seven-time world champion was caught out by the changing conditions, and Mercedes got their timing wrong. With the track improving, it was all about getting the lap done as late as possible.

Hamilton disappointed with P13

As a result, Hamilton will start from 13th place on the grid and will have to make up a lot of ground should he score decent points in Sunday's race. Hamilton spoke to Sky Sports and explained the mistake he and Mercedes made.
"I did two fast laps in the end, and the tyres overheated, so I couldn't improve on the last lap. Hopefully, when the car is heavier, maybe we can progress forward in the race. It's not an easy track to move forward on, but tomorrow's a new day, and I will give it my best tomorrow," Hamilton said.
The Mercedes car was strong at Zandvoort as his teammate George Russell qualified in third place. He will be trying to battle against the McLarens and even Verstappen.
