Lewis Hamilton claims he and Mercedes are not talking bullsh*t about the amount of work they've got to do. After Barcelona testing, Hamilton said the team have a mountain to climb ahead of the 2019 season start.
"Come qualifying you get a better picture, and usually, over the first few races is when you really start to get an idea of where everyone stands," Hamilton said in an interview on Motorsport.
“But we said that we have work to do and we weren’t talking BS. We have work to do.”

What did Bottas say?

Valtteri Bottas, Hamilton's team-mate, insisted Mercedes have made improvements since their last appearance. He suggests chasing Ferrari provides his team with more motivation and a bigger strive to improve.
“I can see people very motivated, and even though we don't feel like we are the quickest at the moment, somehow there's good work ethic, motivation," Bottas added.
“Definitely when I was at the factory last week, I saw people are really putting a lot of effort and trying to make our package better with the tools we have here."
