'Hamilton is cleaner than Senna or Schumacher were at the time'

According to former Formula 1 driver and commentator Luciano Burti Lewis Hamilton is one of the cleanest Formula 1 champions the sport has ever seen. Even in the fight that Hamilton has with Max Verstappen the seven-time champion stays clean says Burti.

Hamilton and Verstappen maintain a respectful relationship on track, despite the big crash between the two title favourites at Silverstone. According to Burti, nothing has changed since then either. "Regarding the fight of Hamilton and Verstappen, I think it remains neat, but that's my opinion," he told the Brazilian branch of Motorsport.com.

According to Burti Hamilton is one of the tidiest drivers, even tidier than Ayrton Senna or Michael Schumacher: "By the way I think when you compare Hamilton with other great champions, like Senna and Schumacher, he is the cleanest of these guys."

However, the former Formula One driver does remember Hamilton being fairly wild in his early years: "If I'm not mistaken, in 2008 he was a bit crazy in the head and did some stupid things. But he never drove anyone off the track."
