Hamilton hopes F1 can change to be like Moto GP

Lewis Hamilton believes that Formula One should look to Moto GP as an example to copy when it comes to close racing. The Mercedes driver listed the series as a great example as to what F1 should be in relation to close racing.

He might be on the brink of a fifth world championship title but Hamilton is still thinking about ways the F1 world can change for the better. Speaking ahead of the Mexican Grand Prix, Hamilton spoke of how the rival series has got it right compared to F1 and added he hoped Liberty Media and the FIA would change for the better.

Changes are lined up for 2021, with new regulations set to be introduced that include the simplifying of aerodynamics as well as the streamlining of the complex power units that have been the cause of controversy more often than not.

Whether these changes will be the turning point Hamilton is hopeful of remains to be seen but the reigning world champion is focused going into the final few races of a fine year for him.

“The sole goal is to win these races,” he added.
