Hamilton's dream Ferrari debut soured turning into the Briton's worst F1 nightmare, with his career hitting an all-time low in 2025 as he saw out the year without a single podium to his name.
His top results were capped at P4, unable to break into the rostrum unlike teammate Charles Leclerc who racked up seven top 3 finishes across the season.

Oliver Bearman on the other hand, in the American team's VF-25 managed to equal Hamilton's best result with a terling P4 in Mexico, where the seven-time world champion's best chance to break the negative podium-less streak unravelled after the Stewards handed him a 10-second time penalty for cutting the track and keeping the advantage gained.
Hamilton warned Ferrari could put him out to pasture
On top of that, Hamilton has been vocal about Ferrari's woes, which saw a response from the Italian brand's chairman John Elkann urging him and Leclerc to 'talk less' and focus on driving.
Former F1 driver Christian Danner believes that if Hamilton continues ruffling up feathers at Ferrari, his time in the Scuderia could be cut short, in benefit of Bearman. "Bearman has a real basic speed, it’s insane and that’s also an issue for Lewis Hamilton," Danner told Sport.de.
"If he continues to make a fuss at Ferrari, he will be put on the road and Bearman will get into the car – that’s it.”
“He is under contract with Ferrari and of course they speculate: If Hamilton throws in the towel and doesn’t feel like it anymore, then with Bearman they immediately have someone they can put in and it works,” Danner concluded.F
'Ferrari at risk of losing both Leclerc and Hamilton'
Sky Sports commentator David Croft says Lewis Hamilton’s underwhelming first season at Ferrari is mainly due to Ferrari’s car and a lack of “gelling” between Hamilton and the team’s structure. He warns that if Ferrari produce a similar car next year, they risk losing both Hamilton and Charles Leclerc.
