Hamilton, who spoke to the media following his outing at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, said he hopes for rain next weekend in Singapore.
What does he expect from the race at the Marina Bay Street Circuit? “Not much. It is not the most exciting for races.
"So qualifying again is going to be everything, then hopefully it rains or something. So, at least to make it a little bit interesting.”
The Singapore Grand Prix has, over the years, proven to be one where qualifying could play a significant factor in the outcome of the race. 10 times out of the 15 Grands Prix did the pole sitter end up winning at the Asian track.

Hamilton, on his part, boasts fond memories of racing around the circuit, including recording four race victories and multiple podium finishes.
The last time he finished inside the top three was in 2023, after his teammate George Russell crashed on the final lap.

Lewis Hamilton slammed by a former F1 driver

Former Formula 1 driver Marc Surer recently criticised Lewis Hamilton amid his current stint at the Ferrari team. The 74-year-old labelled the British driver a ‘spoiled child’ in his scathing assessment.
The former BMW team driver also stressed how he prefers Fernando Alonso, due to his ability to get the best out of less competitive cars, over Hamilton.
