Glock expected more: 'Nothing has amazed me so far'

Timo Glock has been watching the car launches of all Formula 1 teams with great interest. However, it did not cause the former Formula 1 driver any great surprise, he told Sky Sports Deutschland.

The formations showed the exterior of the car during the presentations, but for the performance fans will have to wait until the test days in Bahrain. Next week, the teams will have three days there to continue working on the car.

"So far, nothing has really amazed me," Glock states honestly about the cars. "The Alfa Romeo is a very nice car and it is the first car with one or two recognisable updates. Even with the Aston Martin, you have seen parts where the car looks very different from the previous model."

The German hopes the Formula 1 season will be different from last year. In 2022, Charles Leclerc managed to stay close to Max Verstappen only in the early stages, after which the Dutchman built up a big lead relatively easily.

From Glock, things may therefore get a bit more exciting again this calendar year. "I believe and hope we will see another exciting battle this year. Mercedes will also get closer again. We can look forward to a blistering season," he concluded.
