George Russell has said that he hopes Formula 1 can become more exciting and believes the sport can take some lesson from Moto GP, which the Brit is a fan of. The Williams driver thinks that Moto GP is more exciting and that Formula 1 would become a greater spectacle if it was similar to the motorbike races.
“It's just, their racing is incredible. It reminds me a bit of karting where you can almost overtake in every single corner and swapping for positions.
“It is a bit of a shame Formula 1 cannot be more like that. But I think Liberty is very on top of that and hopefully come 2021 we’ll be slightly more in that direction.”
Despite Russell's interest in Moto GP, he has committed his future to Formula 1.
“Not at this stage,” he was quoted by RaceFans. “I’m fully focussed on Formula 1 and don’t want to risk unnecessary injury.”

With a major set of rule changes set to come into place in 2021, it will be interesting to see if Formula 1 manages to become more competitive and exciting.
