Pierre Gasly might have had a tough start to life at Red Bull, but he’s insisted he still holds the support of the Red Bull team and hierarchy as he prepares for the Monaco Grand Prix.
Gasly has been scrutinised since arriving at Red Bull to replace Daniel Ricciardo and he failed to make it to Q3 in his opening two races in Australia and Bahrain. However, since China Gasly has seen an upturn in form despite retiring in Baku.
"Things are going well," Gasly said.
"You always want things to be perfect from the first day, but usually that's impossible.
"Instead, you have to be patient as you work on improving every detail to get the most out of the car.

"I would like to be faster than I am at the moment, but things are getting better.”
Despite reports, he could be replaced by a Toro Rosso driver if his form does not improve he’s adamant he has got the backing of the hierarchy.
"I saw Christian (Horner) when I was in the simulator last week, and I talk to Helmut (Marko) every week when I am not at the track.
"They are very supportive and give me the best possible environment to develop myself as a driver and give my best results."
