The Sprint ahead of the Qatar Grand Prix has just finished. Here are the full results. Full Sprint Results - Qatar GP
Oscar Piastri dominated the Sprint in Qatar as he led from start to finish in the 19-lap race for
McLaren.
Piastri perfected the start for McLaren as he led into the first turn from pole position, with
George Russell in second place.
The Australian critically broke the one-second DRS window from Russell on the opening lap as he built a gap.
George Russell took second place in a race that saw very little overtaking across the 100km distance. The Mercedes driver shared the top three with both McLarens as Lando Norris took third.
The reigning world champion, Max Verstappen, moved up from sixth to fourth place at the chequered flag to pick up a valuable haul of five points. The Dutchman quickly made up ground but couldn't make an impression on Norris over the 19 laps.
His teammate Yuki Tsunoda has stepped up this weekend and finished fifth on the road but would drop back to sixth after he was handed a five second time penalty for repeated track limits violations.
Kimi Antonelli moved up to fifth position, albeit if for a moment,as the Italian rookie would also be slapped with a five second time penalty for the same offense as the Japanese driver, demoting him back down to P6.
Carlos Sainz scored a single point for Williams while Isack Hadjar and Alex Albon rounded out the top 10.
