Full results | Piastri on Sprint pole with Hamilton down in 18th

Oscar Piastri took pole position for the Sprint in Qatar, and George Russell will start alongside him.

Russell managed to split the McLaren cars, with Lando Norris third on the grid, and Fernando Alonso in fourth.

There was a step up in performance at Red Bull from Yuki Tsunoda, who outqualified his teammate Max Verstappen. The pair will start fifth and sixth.

Kimi Antonelli and Carlos Sainz will make up row four of the grid for the Sprint with Charles Leclerc in ninth.

Alex Albon rounded out the top 10 for Williams in Sprint Qualifying at the final Sprint of the year.

The second part of Sprint Qualifying saw Norris top the timesheets, ahead of his McLaren teammate Piastri.

Neither Haas car could make it through to the top 10 as Oliver Bearman qualified 12th for the Sprint, with Esteban Ocon in P15.

Lewis Hamilton was eliminated from Sprint Qualifying in SQ1 and classified 18th, just ahead of both Alpine cars.

Leclerc also struggled in the first part of Sprint Qualifying and set the 13th quickest time but got through to SQ2.
