Since the arrival of Liberty Media some things have changed in Formula 1. The calendar is getting fuller and more and more corners of the world are visited for a Grand Prix.
Formula 1 is becoming more and more international. Vietnam was supposed to have a new Grand Prix on the calendar in 2020, but the party was cancelled. In 2021 a new race has been added, and that is the one in Saudi Arabia. Liberty Media keeps expanding the calendar and there are more plans in the waiting room.

Sprint races in Formula 1

''It is no secret that negotiations with Miami are at an advanced stage. Our aim is to organise a second race in America. Vietnam is no longer on the calendar but is certainly a possibility for the future. There is also interest from North and South Africa," Stefano Domenicali said according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport and Racefans.net.
However, F1 leadership are not getting everything they would like. ''The inverted starting grid is officially disapproved, but it is important to have new ideas to make the sport attractive, without losing sight of traditional values. We are looking at the possibility of sprint races on Saturday and discussing with the teams in which locations this could take place,'' the Formula One CEO concludes.
