Formula 1 drivers and the FIA held their scheduled meeting on Friday to discuss potential rule changes. That does not tell the whole story.
As GPblog reported on Tuesday, the main meeting between the FIA and Formula One Management (FOM) took place last Monday, with Max Verstappen also in attendance.
There was indeed contact with the FIA on Friday, to dot the i’s and cross the t’s after the original, larger meeting a few days earlier. Not all drivers were present on this call with the motorsport federation. Reports that the meeting went positively actually refer back to the previous one, the meeting that this site reported on.
Important week for F1
This coming Monday, team principals will discuss with the FIA and FOM which adjustments will be made to the technical regulations. No major changes are expected.
