F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has hinted that a joint launch event could return in 2027, similar to the F1 75 show held in London last year.
“We are thinking about, as we did two years ago, a potential global launch with all the teams together”

Formula 1 to set to host another joint launch event in 2027?

Last year, Formula 1 staged a major event at London’s O2 Arena to celebrate the sport’s 75th anniversary, with all ten teams unveiling their 2025 liveries one after another, alongside comedy acts and pyrotechnic shows that divided opinion among fans and the paddock alike.
This year, however, teams returned to more traditional launch formats, with all eleven outfits selecting designated dates to unveil their 2026 cars, while some also chose to reveal their liveries only after the behind-closed-doors Barcelona test.

Domenicali said a new “global launch” event similar to the one held in the British capital is being considered, while stressing that the idea remains a work in progress for now.
“We are thinking about, as we did two years ago, a potential global launch with all the teams together. It was a big effect, a sort of 25th race, in terms of the communication around the world, but it’s still a work in progress on that.”

Responding to the sharp criticism from the four-time world champion, who had labelled the new regulations as “Formula 1 on steroids”, Domenicali revealed he had held a lengthy and constructive discussion with him, underlining that the opinion of such a key figure for the sport would be carefully taken into account.
The F1 CEO explained that he personally met with Verstappen to discuss the matter in greater detail and stressed that the Dutchman remains an important part of Formula 1’s future.
