Some big names in Formula 1 have not ruled out Fernando Alonso returning to the sport. The Spaniard retired at the end of last season after struggling to get his McLaren to the top of the grid. There have been many rumors about Alonso's return but it is thought that he will only return to a competitive team and there are few spare seats left.
Former Ferrari chief engineer Toni Cuquerella told AS newspaper “I have no idea!" when he was asked if Alonso would return to F1.
“If he finds a competitive team, which I think can happen, then I would like to think so,” he said.
Ex-Ferrari Engineer thinks that is Alonso does return he won't be there just to take part.
“But who knows? F1 is very unpredictable,” said Cuquerella, who now works in Formula E.
