Max Verstappen recently completed a test drive at the Nordschleife track. Afterwards, people were debating his lap times. Former F1 driver Timo Glock disregards all the talk and praises the Dutchman.

Reaction to Verstappen's tweet

On his Instagram account, Glock posted about Verstappen's tweet, where he clarified his GT3 cars' set-up.
Glock said, "I really don’t get the point here why @maxverstappen1 is questioned about lap times! Doesn’t matter what he did, 7.53 or 7.48, with whatever kind of BOP. To me, he is a role model for our sport, already one of the greatest in our sport, he does 24 @f1 races a year, an outstanding performance every weekend. Just a reminder of last year's F1 Race in Brazil!!!"

Another big passion of Verstappen

Glock also referred to Verstappen's passion of sim-racing. "If he has a free weekend he either sits in a simulator or in a GT3 car. Just by turning up @nuerburgring puts so much attention to our sport which isn’t the same in Germany years ago!"
"Don’t see any other current F1 driver in a GT3 car or simulator that often! He has his own sim racing and GT3 Team, helps young drivers to have a chance to move up from sim racing to fulfil their dreams!"
Glock concluded, "He lives motorsport 24h a day! So anyone’s ego is damaged by those lap times doesn’t understand the real matter here!"
